Hi, it’s Jen DeTracey, the founder of Lift Strategies, one of Canada’s marketing strategists and the author of the book Lift Strategies – Quick Tips to Engage and Elevate Profits.

This is the fourth reason why it’s important for you to niche your market. This is one group of fans that you focus your marketing efforts towards and design your core message around.

Now, let’s take a look at this diagram again. I showed this on the first reason to niche your market. You can see we’ve got a lot of spots on this page. Raisins, I was calling them before but they could be ants. It doesn’t matter. These are, technically, your customers or clients. This here is your sweet spot.

Today, what I want to share with you as the fourth reason for niching your market is this simple. It’s about time and energy. I did refer to that in the first series of tips. I want to expand upon that. When you look at your time and energy that you’re actually putting into marketing every week, do you feel a bit fragmented? Do you feel that you’re kind of all over the place and scattered at certain points, like it’s a challenge for you? You’re feeling maybe a little bit burnt out?

That could be because you haven’t fully niched your market. You haven’t got that sweet spot.

Once you have this sweet spot, it makes life so much easier for you. It’s like you put a stake in the ground and you’re like “Okay. I’m focused and I’m clear.” Your time is precious. Your energy is precious. If you only have two hours or five hours a week to allocate to marketing and sales in your business, don’t you want that to be really streamlined?

Don’t you want to note exactly what you need to do, step-by-step to get there? By niching your market you make it so much easier to do that. I think it’s hard, just in life and society as it is, we are inundated but, number one, we are inundated with content. It used to be, okay, advertising, advertising inundation, which still happens.

Now, it’s too much inundation. Right? There’s so much we can do, learn and grow. On a personal level, we want to spend time doing that. I imagine you don’t want to spend all your time every day in your business and marketing. In the beginning, of course, when you’re starting your business and you’re growing it, more time is necessary.

If you could be clear and have a plan around you niche, you can be really focused and then you don’t have to spend so much time. There can be a lot less stress in that. Then you’re not spending as much money either, right? You’re not expending as much energy. Also, truthfully, you know what, it’s just a heck of a lot more fun. You know your target, that niche, and you just go for it.

When you know that niche it’s just so much easier to go towards that desired objective or that goal, right?

That’s all I want to say in this tip. If you want help with that, if you want to streamline, then you definitely want to sign up for the Crack the Marketing Code Program. It is going to help you get clear about how to niche your marketplace and how to devise that core message and just how to structure things in your business.

If you have benefited from these last tips and I think I forgot to say in the last tip, definitely write a comment down below.
