Enticing Office Entrance – Feng Shui
Your work environment has a huge influence on you and your clients’ experience. It does more than just make everyone feel good. What people see when they enter your office can have a positive or negative effect on their thought patterns, either motivating or de-motivating them.
Here are some useful tools from the practice of Feng Shui that can help you invigorate a workspace while aligning you and your clients with your shared purpose.
Make the entrance enticing:
The entrance symbolically represents how one finds oneself when entering new situations and relationships.
- Avoid having objects cluttering the back of the door; do what you can to enable the door to open as widely as possible, helping people to enter this new space without feeling restricted.
- Keep the space well lit and inviting so that customers can clearly see what they need. The space should not be obstructed with cabinets or other furniture that limits mobility.
- Ensure guests are greeted by signs of the work you do – some accessible pamphlets or cards, for example – and in an office setting, ensure that they are able to place their bags or coats somewhere safe and practical.
