Do What It Takes

Have you ever noticed how the list of things we need to get done during our day only seems to get shorter for 5 minutes, and then starts growing again?

For example, it’s now less than 24 hours until I get on the plane for a one-week vacation in Mexico, and the pile on my desk is growing by the second. This is when prioritizing what matters most is essential.

I believe it is very easy to have an advantage over our competition if we do what we say we are going to do. I have made a commitment to all of you to make sure you get the One Minute Marketing Tip twice a month. I am keen to fulfill that promise.

What is your promise to your suitable prospects and ideal customers?

It is better to under-promise and over-deliver than it is to over-promise and under-deliver. All of us are human, and things occasionally slip through the cracks. That is when we need to be bold, pick up the phone, and deal with the situation as soon as we realize there is an oversight on our part. And if your client calls you to address a missed deadline, be sure to own it as your mistake. Everyone will feel better.

Do you want to learn how you can get a bigger bang for your marketing buck? Attend our full one-day workshop (in partnership with the GLBA) on March 9, 2009 in Vancouver.
