Snakes and Ladders
Do you remember the game Snakes and Ladders from when you were a kid? Although I have a huge fear of snakes and had lots of snake nightmares when I was young, I still loved playing the board game.
While on my way to a reflexology appointment one evening, I spotted this truck while cycling by. It said “Rakes and Ladders.” Maybe it’s just me, but I thought this was very clever. The connection must be strong for those of us who remember playing this fun game, but may not carry as much resonance for younger generations.
When starting a company, coming up with a catchy name can be really cool as long as it has a life beyond a specific age group.
I think Rakes and Ladders can get away with it because their name is very applicable to what they do, which is landscaping services.
